From time to time people come up with very cool maps, some of them 3D ones, for use in games such as Heroclix. I wanted to present some shots someone posted today because I was impressed with them and think the work deserves more attention. This is offered as a map for a cavern (see the bats?) though I suppose someone could dress it up with scrub brush, cacti, etc. and play it as outdoor terrain as a wind-worn canyon. Either way it's a sharp piece of work.
The post where
Mr_Obvious presented these is
here, though as of this posting he hasn't offered any other info.
Here are some other perspectives on the scene (click on any of them for a larger image):
I love the way the pool of water is recessed, cutting a path through the cave floor.
And, finally, with a little mood lighting.
Tricking it up with some boulders or stalagmites as hindering terrain might be a nice addition. but wouldn't strictly be necessary.
