British Prime Minister Tony Blair's wife, speaking at Harvard yesterday, praised the US Supreme Court for its move against Bush administration policies at the Guantanamo Bay prison facililities. The Supreme Court decision stated that detainees do have a right of access to the US judicial system to challenge their detention, destroying the administration's policy of denying them any judicial review.
My header line is my response to an unnamed Blair spokesman's comment that the statements made by Cherie Booth, Blair's wife, "...were in no way political opinions."
