Two Days 'til Tuesday

I know I've shifted what little political blogging I do (less and less it seems) over to a different blog, but with elections less than two days away this should classify as pop culture.

As Tammy, Mark & Tony have all taken a shot at this, I figured I'd do the same:

DontVote.org

I surprised myself by pulling a 100% (one of the musician questions was a guess), so I'm apparently good to go.

I'll keep any other political commentary today over on my other blog.

I know Paris and Christina and the old guy from Team America and I think Johnny Carson's son is in there... but who are the saggy people besides Madonna?

Where's "France"?

Wow, Miraclo: I like your other blog.

Hope you can keep posting to both.

I like that this blog has become (sort of) the "entertainment" blog.

MM: To the France question I would have answered "follow your nose", but the GOP and right wing talk media zombies have taken all the fun out of jokes at the expense of the French.

GZ: Thanks! I'll try to keep up on both of them, but much gets in the way. With some luck today's electoral results will leave me energized. However, the vote-stealing I'm most worried about isn't the kind of thing that's going to be picked up by observers at polling places. They're going to be looking for any signs of intimidation or attempts to dissuade people from voting.

The insanity of having privately contracted voting machines where the businesses providing them are able to keep away true transparency in voting by claiming trade secrets... it's another aspect of our times that people in the future will look back on in a mix of wonder, pity and outrage.

Better, Mike, folks like Diebold make MAJOR campaign contributions. How is that not a conflict of interest??? If you haven't seen HBO's HACKING AMERICA, the ease with which these people were able to change votes was frightening. The lies that Diebold told (which only became challenges to the bi-partisan group conducting the tests) and the number of politicians willing to overlook them...even moreso.
