Robotic fish?

The pic above is from October of last year, when the University of Essex developed a self-guiding robot fish, and three of them were added to the London Aquarium More shots and even some video are to be found in the Essex Robotics gallery.

More recently, a far more artificial-looking, but nonetheless sophisticated robotic fish from Ryomei Engineering in Japan can be found here. (There's a video clip over there, too.)

we saw a robot car at the smithsonian. it looked like a landrover. the kids were VERY impressed.

Someday I'll make it back down to the Smithsonians again, though from what I heard the other day I might be asked to pay an admission by then. Well, maybe when a proper administration is in place some of these trends can be reversed.
