Icons: Less Than Two Weeks

This week, I see, Wizkids confirmed September 7th as their release date for their new DC base set: Icons. With more information laid out I'm more comfortable than ever with making this set a slow and easy acquisition rather than buying a case.

They've also been updating their list for the set, and appear to have all but one Feat card up (whatever #6 will be) and may have all
of the Battlefield Conditions for the set up, set at a nice, economical five. They've made the nice move of doing a DC release for Unstoppable (for 5 points a character with Super Strength gets to move more freely and smash things up) as one of the Feats. Siphon Power expands the abilities of characters with wild card team abilities, albeit at a cost of 20 points so those prone to whine "wildcard abuse!" will have less to squawk about. Then there's the momentarily confusing Darkness Within, which may turn out to be a really nice card -- allowing one character to add to its Damage while getting an adjacent character off its activation click -- but for 15 points... I don't see myself rushing to use it. If I pull it during the marquee maybe. If it allowed one to do it with multiple, friendly targets (drawing power from two or more allies before launching an attack) it would be more fun and more potentially worth its points.

All six of the set's uniques are now posted with the addition of Ras al Ghul and The Flash, probably the best of the uniques for this set, though I know many will be looking more for Braniac.
They've also posted the REV stats for Wonder Woman. Earlier in the week they added Starfire and Batman. All of the recent additions would be nice additions to my collection and force-building capabilities, but none of them are must-have items. At the moment the last big shoe to drop appears to be the full stats for the new version of Superman.

I've got that exact Batman figure sitting on top of my monitor. It was a freebie from the comics shop, but still.

Right, that was the purple-ringed version from Free Comic Book Day. I believe it had the stats the experienced version (blue ring) will have. If one's just after the sculpt then he's set, but the purple-ringed versions can't be played in official games.
